Welcome to Sew Red for Women's Block 3! Sew Red for Women was created to raise awareness of Heart Disease among women by way of creativity and camaraderie within the modern sewing community.
From February 3rd, 2012 to January 3rd 2013, Sew Red for Women will feature an original quilt block designed especially for you by some of today's most inspiring designers & bloggers. A special link is provided to hop on over to the blogger's site for details and instructions for completing the featured block.
And without further ado, this month's block is brought to us by the talented Katie of Swim, Bike, Quilt.
Katie has been dazzling us with her modern take on quilting for awhile now, so I was super excited to have her join Sew Red For Women's Blog Hop.
And don't forget! April 4th is the American Heart Association's National Walking Day! It's time to bring the sneakers to work and get out there and walk during your lunch break!

ReplyDeleteI am already a follower of yours! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteRecently I have started to eat carrots when I get hungry after work, instead of grabbing chocolate or something else easy that is laying around. This is just as easy and (don't tell anyone) probably more fulfilling :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a blog but I am already a follower of this one. I'd love to see the email box to be notified when a new post is made here if that's possible though. I rarely go to my reader.
ReplyDeleteI eat tons of fruit or drink fruit juice often. Most of my snacks during the day are fruits if we have them in the house or veggies.
ReplyDeleteI have added your button with pride :)
ReplyDeleteI am a proud follower ;~)
ReplyDeleteAnd not only did I eat two oranges today and a bowl of peaches... I also Walked to work!! 3/4 mile! {{{BIG GRIN}}} Have a great day! Thanks for the personal challenge!!

I now have almonds as my mid afternoon snack. They are a great source of energy and don't have all the sugar from fruit which is definitely bad for menopausal women because sugar turns to fat and fat produces estrogen which is turns contributes to heart disease!
